Ok, much higher hp 350, bout 430 at the crank.... the drive train issues will be solved before the motor, but here are a few concerns.

it gets fairly hot here in the summer, and i know that the current setup that is in these car won't take the extra heat made by this motor. The car will be driven daily also.

does anyone have a recommendation? oil cooler necceasary? already got an extrenal tranny cooler.

What about a fan upgrade? would it be worth it for me to setup my own shrouwd, like we did on the race car (worked VERY well) and just have a direct driven fan instead of an electric fan?

just curious if they made kits, kinda trying to also be budget conscience.

If you overheat I'd suggest a Griffen Aluminum Radiator and a Weiand water pump

You could also get a solid fan mount instead of the POS fan clutch that GM uses. If you use headers, wrap them with insulating tape to carry heat away from the engine. Also, I reccomend getting an aftermarket heater control valve if it doesnt already have one. Autozone sells one that you turn a valve on it like a water faucet, to allow or block coolant from entering the heater core. This made about a 20* drop on my car in the summer.

Ward- what your saying is more or less block off the heater core and ya get better cooling? hmm intresting. i always thought the coolant cam back on the outlet side to go back to the radiator and finish the cycle. i guess i could attempt to hook up some sort of device like what the tpi motors use...

the headers will be ceramic coated by jet hot also.. wrap might get used, but i am also gonna have cowl induction hood- which will help push some of the hot air out...
