havent started car since halloween...re-prime oil system???

i havent started my car since halloween and it is looking like this weekend may be the weekend that i take her out of storage. should i re-prime the oil system?

my motor only has like 3500 miles on it..i didnt know if that mattered or not. what do you guys think? worth the trouble? will it hurt anything if i don't?

thanks.

Priming your oil system after sitting for serveral months sounds like a REALLY good idea to me. It is cheap insurance....

Have fun.

Well you definitely can't hurt anything by doing that. I would.

Not a bad idea but you dont have to a 7 months isnt a very long time. I would just disconect the distributer wires and crank it until oil pressure built up then start it run for 10 min then change the oil. I doubt that the seals and rings have dryed up. But if you dont feel safe just re-prime it.
