My break light is stuck on in GTA
The break light in the gage cluster is stuck on. Is there a senor or cable I can check? By the way it is a GTA digital dash if that helps. Thanks

it's telling you it's time for a coffee break
just kidding. you mean Brake light
Check your brake fluid. check the pads too. when they wear and the fluid gets low in the reservoir, you'll sometimes see the light.
somebody help me out, how is the light actuated when you're low on fluid? I forget.

That light is also activated by the e-brake. Check to make sure the lever is all the way down, or that the switch is not stuck.

Theres a switch in the propotioning valve, try disconnecting it. If the light goes out, either the switch is bad, there's air in the lines/leak.....
If it's still on the e-brake switch, and if it STILL won't go out maybe its the brake light switch itself (above the pedal).

The regular brake light switch (on the pedal) is also hooked up to the BRAKE warning light?

If 83 Z's and yours are similar: There is a switch mounted under the console for the emergency brake. Ours was out of adjustment and the brake light stayed on all the time. You could push the e-brake lever towards the passenger seat and the light would go out, but eventually come on again. You have to remove the shifter **** (automatic trannies)the top, take the console loose and raise it up off the floor, etc., to get to that switch and it's still a pain to actually get your fingers and tools to it to adjust its postion.
