Engine Upgrades

Hey guys, I have a 1989 305 TPI and I want to upgrade the car as much as possible while retaining the car mostly stock. I have ideas for upgrading the spark plugs, exhaust, plug wires, etc, and I want to know what you guys think is the best bang for the buck parts and what I should upgrade. I'm kinda new to the whole upgrading thing on a EFI car so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

depends on how far you wanna go with it....keep it mostly stock doesnt leave a lot of room for performance mods....other than stuff like exhaust.....maybe do a gear swap.....

best noticable gains are from headers, and gears.

A good cat back exhaust system around 300 bucks, headers around 350 to 800 bucks depending on what brand, custom cold air intake around 50 bucks,Coil about 40 bucks, fuel pressure regulator around 80 bucks, prom chip around 150 bucks. All are good mods and you will see a big difference in power.

Is there something wrong with that? It's a proven enhancement in the 1/4.

Yes, i have a mountain bike. It gets great gas milage. Again, is there anything wrong with that?
