not exactly..... 305 vortec heads are used on 96 up 305 vortec engines.
casting # ends in 059. are simular to 350 L-31 vortec heads with raised ports, vortec intake bolt pattern
but differ in the combustion size and shape, and valve size. The have good performence potential with larger 350 sized valves and some porting and hi per preparation.
Lo3 motors have swirl port heads. not desireable for hi performance.

I'm sure some people are using them with good results. I'll let you know in a few weeks how well they work. Of course they are going to be used in a 305 platform should be interesting.
