anybody have tall valve covers with a superram

hi

I installed the superram on my motor yesterday, and I had some touble getting the valve covers on it. They are the tall centerbolts by proform. I had them on the motor when it was on a stand, but i can't get them on now that the engine is in the car. I think it might have to do with the gasket thickness on the SR. The lip on the covers just barely hits the edge of the runner where it connects to the plenum. I could try to force it down, but it looks like the chrome would get really screwed up if i did. Has anyone here had the same problem? The covers look nice on the motor, and i really don't want to return them. Thanks for any help, nick

I've got them due to my 1.6 roller rockers. But they are a B * T C H to get on and off, especially on the car (still have the AIR with my Tri-Y headers).......

I have the tall valve covers too. They fit but barely..and yes they are scratched up. Anybody know of a good polish to remove scrathches??

Also...who sells "mid-size" valve covers??

Never seen any "mid sized" valve covers. Being the "lovely" centerbolt style covers, I'm sure you already know our selection is very limited. I have tall ones with air and everything, but I'm running a HSR. Good Luck!!

I too have the tall covers w/ Superram. Scratched and a VERY
tight fit. I was looking into going back to stock and bending the baffles to get around my crane gold 1.5 rockers.

Between the Superram, tall valve covers, Edelbrock TES headers and the Crane Gold rockers...I don't think I could have come up with a worse setup from and ergonomics standpoint!!!!!
