CTS?

Sitting in the drivers seat in my 1989 305 TPI Iroc-Z T-5. On the right cyclinder head there is a senser with a single black wire and has a portruding *** for the connection. What is this? I ask because CHILTON'S repair manual shows the CTS having two wires and a square connection. And nowhere in the book does it show this senser or talk about it.

Second question, there is a senser on the right side of the block that has a white wire and a white circular connection. Which one is this?

I think the sensor you are looking at in the passenger head is the Fan Sensor. The sensor on the passenger side of the block should be the knock sensor. The CTS is in front of the engine at the bottom of the base manifold if IIRC.

If the fan senser was somewhat wet probly damaged would that make the fans run all the time and make the volt meter in the car run at 18 volts?
