what would be making this noise?

I hear a sound that I think is valve lash but I never touched the valvetrain. I don't think that it is that because I think that it is coming from behind the water pump. Almost like the timing chain. Is this posible? Would it make noise if it's old? I have 113,000 miles on it.

Yeah it's a clatter. Does this mean that it is bad or does it need to be tightened?

Hello Gadp74!!

Well, I'll give you credit for trying, but if you check him out on the members list, you'll see that he hasn't been on here to post since 11-20-2002.

Old posts are like dead ends, you don't usually get any where going there!!

If you have an answer, or believe that you have an answer, just post it, it may turn out that it helps someone else!!
