Instrument Cluster Swap
Just completed my instrument panel swap, and man---does it look nice!!! :0
I had the old 85 mph, with the kph on the other side and the ugly orange and red. The tach had the red line starting at 4500.
Old oil pressure was zero to 60, new one is zero to 80 (new sending unit required)
The one I put in is 115 mph, nice blue and white lettering, and the tach shows red line starting at 5500 rpm.
It was incredibly easy, even the speedo cable wasn't too bad (I had very large hands), and was done in a flash. New speedo shows 7800 miles, so I have a newer car.
Just suggesting this for anyone considering an easy and cheap upgrade. Man it looks GREAT.
ps. finally had something go smoothly on this possesed car!!!

Do you have a T/A or Camaro?? What year?? Just curious if you went electronic to electronic - cable to electronic - or cable to cable.

84 Z, and went to an 88 or 89 (still mechanical speedo) cluster. I'll post some pics later.
