What is Hot. My old Tbi 305 had a redline of 260 but there is no way Im letting my crate Motor get that Hot. When should a guy start to worry? Should the temp be less for aluminum heads?

Also, Almost everbody has some kind of aftermarket fan turnon. At what temp do you turn your fan on. I debating which (Painless wiring) fan control, to get. The have one that turns the fan on at 200 off at 185. and another that turns on at 185 and off at 170.

5 to 10 degrees above your thermostat opening temp.

Anybody ever try the CSI programmable gauge. I called summit and they said it uses a screw in sender. I had a derale unit and it never worked, I dont think a probe jammed into the radiator fins is a reliable way to turn the fan on and off/

Well, idealy it should read the coolant temp sensor, but a probe glued/epoxyed onto a fin would be almost as good
