Emmision failure
I'v read alot of posts about emmision failure here on the boards. I failed the hydrocarbons. I put in a hotter thermostat today. I'v read alot of posts about putting alcohol mix and lower octang gas in my car. How much alcohol should I add to gas and how long should I wait to retest my car? Thanks. Scott

Emmissions
Funny you should mention the fan, because no, it still does not work. The converter is about six months old so is the O2 sensor and just about every other sensor on the car. The standard is 0.80 on the hydrocarbons and I was 2.09. I'm thinking with the hotter thermostat and the engine ruuning hotter now about 220 to 225 (was about 180 to 190 before) that I might pass. Car also got a complete tune-up about 6 months ago (everthying). Scott
