need distributor for L98
I'm having trouble finding a simple distributor to replace the one in the gta.
I found this one form MSD but the price is insane. Plus I don't know if you need anything extra from MSD like a better ignition box or whatever.

Canada sucks for finding parts. I tried jegs and summit but they don't describe things in detail or not enough for me to understand exactly what I need.

Just go to a good local parts store and get a rebuilt unit(thats all you will find, but they work great). They will want yours for something like a $60 core charge. Stay away from places like Canadian tire and the dealership that will charge you a small fortune!! Call around and get the best price you can. I just got one for $210(with mine in return) and thats the best price I could find, and that is Canadian $$'s as I am in Ottawa. Go on the Ontario board and ask around for good parts stores in your area.

good idea.
I lived in ottawa for two years. that's actually where the car is. out in embrun.
I went to crappy tire and asked if they had any distributors. he didn't know what a distributor was.
I said ... "you know the thing that touches the cam... err it rotates has a gear at the bottom and has a cap and rotor on top" and he just stared at me blankly so I left.

I'll ask the ontario board.
thanks.
