How do I raise the engine?
I know this is going to sound like a newb question, but I am going to ask it anyway.
I need to know the correct procedure for lifting up my engine enough to get my headers on. I have been told by others that it is okay to jack it up by the pan as long as there is a board or something in between the jack and the pan.
I am most worried about the engine mounts because I have never touched them before. Does anyone have a picture of the engine mount bolts that I have to take out?
Any helpful hints would also be appreciated.

that is what my friend does with his car when he works on it but he can only lift it about 4-5 inches until the transmission starts to get in the way.
