Question on crimping ignition wires

I'm is desperate need of a new set of wires as the ones I currently have suffered some heat damage. The only ones I can get hold of quickly in the UK are the cut them yourself universal ones. I'm just wondering if you can crimp the boots on with pliers or just a regular crimping tool or if there is a specific tool you must use?

Thanks for any input.

Er... I guess it depends on skill and experience. I've been doing them for so long that I have no problem with just pliers.

Yeah, I use 2 pairs of needlenose..... produces a crimp that's every bit as good as any hand crimper tool I've ever seen.

i've done it with pliers but any more prefer the crimp tool from MSD wire sets, at any reate you should be able to do it without the crimp tool

Got the wires, got them crimped. I used pliers and had no problems doing it with those.

I got no instructions so after a search I found this post which was helpful in telling me what I was supposed to be doing.

Thanks again.
