Valve cover and smoke

my passenger side valve cover is emmitting smoke

it also seems to let out some oil, seems to be transmission oil, cause it's red, ....how is that possible?

the oil then drips onto the exhaust manifold and then burns off making more smoke

how do i stop this leak?

Car?

Is your tranny dipstick seated properly? Too much fluid in the tranny?
From the way you describe it, it sounds like it's coming out of the tube and weeping down the tube, onto the perimiter of the v/c and then dripping onto your exhaust.
