I was wondering how much torque and horsepower a 1982 4 speed manual transmission out of a camaro could take? Could it take more than a 5 speed transmission of the later years? Also, would the stock flywheel from an 82 four speed manual work with all small blocks such as a 307, 327 or 350? Thanks

 

i believe the m4 would be a stronger trans, but have nothing to back it up with. the fly wheel would work on any SBC as long as they're 2 piece main seal engines, if that's what the fly wheel came off of.
