Harmonic Dampner?
Harmonic Dampner?
Ok, It has come to my attention that the dampner wobbles when the car is running. I believe this to be the cause of my shaking problems. So, what is involved in a harmonic Dampner installation? When my engine is just cruising below 2300 RPM,s it shakes real bad, but above that its fine. Anyway, anyone have some advice about the Harmonic Dampner?

They're definitely not supposed to wobble. They fail by the rubber strip in the middle giving out and then the outer ring can wander around and do whatever it wants to.
Just replace it.
You need a puller and an installer. Auto Zone, Kragen, etc. will "rent" you the tools. You could get another one at the junkyard (questionable) or get a new one from the dealer, or one from a racing place like Summit or Jegs or your local speed shop.

basically all you have to do is remove the belt(s) and crank pulley, then remove the crank bolt. bolt up the puller and remove the dampner, use an install tool to press the replacement on with, bolt up the pulley and belt and you're all set.
