Gasket interchangeability
I have the 87+up roller 350 block. I want to do a cam change. I was wondering which gaskets interchange between my engine and the pre-87 engines? Do the Intake and timing gaskets interchange? I know the valve cover ones don't but I've solved that problem. The reason I ask is because summit has a set for like 20 bucks and my local part store wants 40 bucks for all the gaskets.

JDM,
The earlier style intake may have different bolt locations and retainer holes. By the time you supplement the "cheaper" set with all the correct gaskets, you'll have wasted all the savings you had from purchasing the "bargain" set.
Check with the GM dealer. They can be surprisingly inexpensive for such common things as gasket sets. The rebuild set for an LT1 at the GM dealer was $118.00, and over $200.00 for a Fel-Pro set.
