Help from the experts?

I'm looking at an 85 Camaro that a guy has who lives near me. He wants 2700.00 (canadian dollars) for it. The car has t-tops, overdrive, a bitchin' stereo, the original 305, a 3.08 posi, nice interior, air conditioning, etc, etc. The car has 191000 kilometers on it. I was wondering if this car is a good buy. There is a dent in the driver's side front fender, the door pins are bent, and it needs weather stripping all around. It also needs a parking brake cable, and some other minor things that are not necessary to get the car saftied in Ontario. Thanks in advance for all your help.

The carb also has quite a bog under driving while cold, and the choke seems to be a little tempermental - takes a few pumps of the pedal to get 'er started.

That's what.... about $175 US?

Seriously, that's not too bad of a price. It sounds like an OK car.

Sounds like a great price. Buy it and fix 1 thing a month and in a few months it should be sweet.

Hey guys - I appreciate all the help.

Only thing that im disappointed with in the F-Bodies is the room to put my guitar. LOL The (1980 2dr) malibu i previously owned (with frame cancer - cant get 'er saftied anymore) had LOTSA trunk space. I'll give it up for the sweeter lookin camaro.

I'll be lookin into the car some more soon - and i'll keep you posted. Plans include a moderate 350, and a stiffer gear in the rear end. Take care

News is in - and it's not good. The frame is busted on the camaro i was lookin at

There is a really shoddy weld on it too - some moron welded a piece of angle-iron onto the frame. From the looks of it - the car was t-boned.

Anyone got a 3rdgen with a/c and overdrive for sale? v8?
