As a follow up to my post here:

I took my ECM to the dealership and they said they could not test it and even if they could the 7730 ECM has been discontinued with no replacement.
I've checked everything I can think of: alternator, battery, TPS, MEM-CAL...
I don't know what to do now
I searched and found a couple other posts where code 53 was also caused by a bad ECM but I have no way of testing my ECM. Is there like a sure fire way to find out? What can I try next?
As mentioned in my other post, I get Code 43 & 53, my car is hard to start and when it does it sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders, runs terrible, check engine light comes on, tons of smoke from exhaust, rich as all hell, and dies soon after starting. Pushing the gas only make it worse.
Please give me suggestions! I need this car to get to work and I don't know what to try next. I have access to a very expensive scan tool if that will help...
Thanks!

Hello 92GTA,
I don't know about your dealership there and the availability of the 7730 ECM. But in my neck of the woods, the dealership can still get 165 ECM's and they are an older model. If all else fails, go to the local boneyard and search there. NAPA, if I remember correctly also carries an aftermarket version of it. How much of the wiring in the circuits have you checked so far. Since you have access to a real expensive scan tool, put it on your car and see what it can tell you about what is happening. If your car is indeed having an overvoltage problem, that scanner will pick it up. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Alright nevermind
I plugged in the ECM and the car started right up!!!! Figures, it just goes to proove that even having my ECM unplugged and removed from the car 2 hours or less does NOT clear the codes. I have to have it out overnight and all day today. Weird.
Anyway, new problem! My primary fan did not even kick on until 230!!!! Then it shut down again before the car even cooled to 220! That and my secondary which my stock PROM turns on at 220 (right?) never came on.
No error codes, what could be wrong now, lol!

Damn!!!!
I drove my car to work this morning no problem, even stopped for gas. I went to start it to leave work and it's doing the same thing!!!! Since I have no idea what to try next or really have the time or pateince for it right now, I'm going to try and gimp it accross the street to the dealership and have them tell me what's wrong then I will fix it. The car is stranded in the parking lot of my work but it happens to be about 500 yards from the largest Chevy dealership in all of CA and I have guys I know who work there that can give me parts discounts. I called and they said it would be 1hr labor which is $75. Atleast then I will know exactly what the problem is. If it is the ECM and since the 7730 is discontinued with no replacement, I'll get a 7739 so that when I do supercharge it will see boost without using ProChargers FMU. I actually planned on doing that anyway.
