It's not hard, you stick the door key into the lock on the inside of the top, turn it a quater turn and it's locked.....

Are you pushing in on the key as you try to turn it?

Are you sure they are the right keys , just because you got them with the car doesnt mean they werent replaced at one time it sounds like the key is the wrong one , there is no trick to it it either locks or it doesnt , you can have a lock smith change the tumblers to work with your key

I have that problem too. I can put the key in and turn it yet it still doesnt lock. I had to get a new t-top (From a junk yard)and got the key with it and that one didnt work either. Whats up wit dat? Its really no big deal though.

If your old ones didn't work and the new ones don't either... chances are it's just you're not doing something right.

That's not meant as an insult either.
