3-Core Radiator Re-core questions

What would be the approx. cost to recore a 3 core rad? Is it possible to recore a brass/copper 3 core rad to an aluminum 3 core? Is there any comments or concerns I should be aware of before I send the rad away to be recored.

Waste of money. Get a new one. Usually, if a radiator is so old and ate up inside that it needs a new core, it needs new tanks too, because they're just as ate up inside. Since a radiator consists of exactly one core and 2 tanks.... go figure.

I agree, go get a new one. Personally I would head towards an aluminum one rather than brass/copper.

How common is it for the side tanks to fail? I've never heard of this happening.
