ford over revving
hey guys my wifes ford tarus wagon is acting very strangly, when she drives it it revs real high before it shifts, the car has an automatic transmission is full of fluid and has a new filter but the car is having problems shifting, any ideas why it woud do this?

Transmission: 700R4
Torque convertor may be going bad. Fix it before the fins inside the converter shatter and flow back into the tranny. It'll mess all sorts of things up

Engine: Pos 2.8 pulled and replaced with a 350 tpi motor converted to carb.
Transmission: 700r4, vette servo,shift kit, hayden 15"x8" trans cooler.
its a 91 or newer correct? Those tranny;s are known for crapping out ALOT. Get a new car soon!






BTW how is this thirdgen related?
