There are no real mods needed for chevy oiling. You can grind out the casting left in the back holes by the distributor to improve oil drain back. Get a windage try for the bottom end and a good oil pan. If you really want to try something grind out the casting in the rear main cap where the oilpump sits and you can enlarge the holes from the cam bearings to the mains to the size of the main bearing hole.

i tap the drain holes in the front half of the lifter valley and put plugs in, use a #26 spring from mr gasket in a melling m55 pump, use arp pump drive shaft. use the baffle between the pump and main cap, gring all casating flash, glue screens in the big drain holes, if you have solid lifters you can run restricters in the lifter oil gallies, radius the oil holes in the crank, run a drill bit in the oil feed holes to the mains to clean them out, if you make them bigger it's all good. windage screen and crank wiper.
