Vacuum port in rear of manifold

What is the vacuum port in the rear of my intake on my 83 305. It has two male ends to accept hoses. A pic of where these hoses come from and go to would be helpful.

Thanks

If it's on top of the manifold, in the center between the carb and dist with 2 fittings about ¼" each, one goes to the cruise, and one goes to the vacuum reservoir for the HVAC controls.
