I need 305 pictures
Hi gang,
I have a 86 Z-28 and I need pictures of the 305 carburated engine in the compartment. The reason is I need to hook up the electric fan back to the sensors the way it is supposed to be. Specifically I need to see pictures of the connections by the thermostat that trigger the fan, etc. If you could send pictures to markkuether@yahoo.com or post them on this thread, that would be way cool.
Thanks
Mark Kuether

The radiator fan switch is in the passenger side head between/below the #6 & #8 spark plugs.
The "coolant temperature sensor" is up by the thermostat.
Exactly what drove this need?

How about this? This is what I have in my car, it turns the fans on sooner so it stays a little cooler in traffic. This is NOT the factory wire, it is a replacement for that one and has to be solderred on.

Here's another pic of different units

hope that helps.

Cole,
As for the connector, yes, you can get replacements. I think I saw one lying on Willie near the Crystal Corner, or you can go to Checkers or any such place and get them new.
Replacements are usually provided with about 8" of wire, and should be soldered/heat shrinked to the existing harness rather than connected with compression connectors.
