As I said will blowing throttlebody cleaner through the maf or not? I know the intake trac of my car is pretty gunked up. I would imagine there is a bunch of crap on the Blades in the turbo and in the intercooler restricting air flow and I would like to get these cleaned out, but I don't think the car will run without the MAF on it.

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

 

Try it first. The TPI cars will run without, I cant see any reason yours wouldnt too.

Be careful not to let anything besides cleaner get sucked up into the intake. You might surprise yourself how much suction there is there

 

It didn't even think of starting with out the MAF on it. I tired, but it didn't

 

It won't start. I've tried it before.

Did you guys take it off the car and disconnect the wire and everything? Always works fine for me...

 

Be careful with that Maf. Like I said, you can't get them anymore.

I saw a NOS Maf selling for $500 bucks. A translator setup is going to cost you 350+ anyways.

I wouldnt let anything near that maf.
