surging iroc part 2

I dont know if some of you remember this but I had made a thread over a couple months ago about my surging iroc at stop lights and never found the problem yet....well the other day i had noticed on one of our extremly hummid days that we had i decided to turn on the a/c....turned it on and noticed when i got to stop lights it wouldnt surge anymore.....so i got curious and approached another light with the ac off and it started surging again so i went ahead and turned the ac on and then the surging stopped and it started to idle fine. Mind you this is right after i cranked the AC on to full blast then boom the car idles awsome......i find this quite strange...i really dont feel like running my AC on 24/7......what could be causing this?

I really dont know, but there is a vacuum line that runs up to the hvac controls. I wonder if maybe it is leaking in a certain position. That would be a vacuum leak which can cause surging. That is just a guess, but it kinda makes since.

where's t he hvac controls? sounds like it would make sense, but wouldnt it still surge when the AC is on?

the hvac controls is actually that panel that you turn the ac on with. Part of it is controlled by vacuum. I dont know if it would actually be possible or not, but I just thought that maybe for some reason it is only leaking in certain positions or something. Like I said, just a guess. I cant think of anything else in the air cond system that would effect the way the engine runs.
