my baby still wont run

Heres the play by play:
I was driving along one day and all of a sudden i just hear it backfire a couple times and the engine starts stumbling.

Now when i start it up it runs pretty descent not perfect but descent. You can drive it to the end of the street and back once or twice and then it starts stumbling and backfiring. It will still idle but you cant give it any gas.

Let the car cool down for 24 hours and you can do it all over again.

Ive already replaced the dist module, ignition coil, o2 sensor (replaced that cause i found the wire was crispered), and i know my alternator and battery are both fine.

The car is not giving any codes either.

Any ideas?

Check your fuel pressure with the engine running and report back.

Fuel pressure is at 42 which is a bit high i believe but the car is getting flooded with gas the computer is compensating for something.

I can also say for sure its not dropping cylinders because i know how to listen for that in the exhaust.

My theory for why i have to drive it to the end of the street and back before it starts backfiring and such is it takes a minute for the car to go into limp home mode.

So before it goes into limp home mode its just flooding the car with gas. I'm thinking its something distributor related although i know its not the distributor module.

I also have a new 02 sensor that i replaced after the problem started so its nothing to do with that and im getting no codes.

Ideas?

Just a shot in the dark here...but did you try unplugging the MAF then taking her for a drive? My 87 TA had similar problems. No check engine light, only a year old MAF. I unhooked it and she ran like a raped ape again. Swapped it out, all is well. Give it a try if you dont think of something else. I have actually had two MAFs go out on me with no check engine light...and the light works. Good luck.
