fuel line

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
how can I tell that I have a fuel leak, the self diagnostic shows no codes except for 35(IAC), that cant be the cause for 8 miles per gallon. Its gotta be something else. I did a tune up (every thing except for the distributor cap). could the ignition timing be the problem, please tell me the possible causes so that I can check them?

fast and easy way is to open a fuel line fitting a little and see if fuel sprays out, it should. do this after it's sat a while and had a chance to bleed off. check the charcol canister, regulator, injector, t-stat, engine temp senser

Exactly what do you 'check' when you check the fuel canister. Mine has a little dent in it.
