Well I received this car for my 15th birthday, which was just over 2 weeks ago, from my father, which he bought for $150 from a dope *****. It is my first car and I have no prior auto experience.
It has been sitting for 6 months outside and currently needs a coil and fuel pump, which are no problem, but I was wondering if I should take any other steps before I start it up for the first time because of its time sitting?
I have already changed all the spark plugs and the oil will be changed tomorrow. The coil and fuel pump are going in some time this week -- any recommendations? Should I just go stock?
I have cleaned the engine pretty good with a pressure washer too.

If it's been sitting for 6 months, was there a fuel stabilizer in the tank such as Sta-Bil? If not, might want to get some fresh gas in there. Otherwise you will probably end up with a case of "bad gas."
