My Iroc Is Not Well
I have owned my Camaro for over a year. About 4 months ago it started having this "running" problem. Under moderate and heavy acceleration it often reaches about 40 to 50mph, holds this speed while refusing to change to the next gear, and makes a sound that is like engine knock. It eventually after a few seconds lurches into the next gear and continues its acceleration. It seems very reluctant to change up a gear or go faster. I can hear the power there....the engine revs quite well...but it refuses to go any faster. Anyone know what on earth I am on about.....or had a similar problem.

My uneducated guess is (assuming shift points are correct) could be valve float from old springs.
But, first thing I'd so is adjust the TV cable, there's a"how-to" in Tech on the main page.
