Any Tips For Replacing Smog/Air Pump
I've got a bad one, which I wish to replace. Any tips or shortcuts would be appreciated.

The R&R is fairly straightforward. The only advice I can offer is to clearly mark the positions of the AIR divert/port valve connectors and hoses if you decide to remove them for easier access.
And, of course, use anti seize compound on all the fasteners when you reassemble the project.
One thing you really should do as part of the project is test the check valves in the exhaust plumbing. There is one on each side, very obviously mounted directly abobe the exhaust manifolds. If one or both of these leak backward (don't check the reverse flow) the new pump will fill with moisture and fail quickly. It's possible that this is what caused the first pump to fail as well.
