update on burning coolant..
ok tonight I pressurized the cooling system to 15psi. waited about 1/2 hour and cranked the engine over without the plugs in. cyl no 7 spit coolant. last cyl on right when facing engine. I guess that doesn't tell me much other than it's the right head. I started taking it apart. got the tb and all electrical stuff off and the header on that side. stupid question but what 's the best way to drain the cooling system with having it all over? I noticed there's like a plastic plug that must unscrew near the bottom of the rad but I would think if I take it out it will leak all over the front end /rad support? does this plug just unscrew? I tried turning it by hand but couldn't.
thanks.. any advice would be great..

You can use the drain in the rad, there are holes in the rad support that it'll run through. There are drain plugs in the block you can open too.

Yeah, I'd use the drain plugs in the block. Their right above the oil pan seal, about midway on the engine.
