it doesn't happen all the time, its unpredictable, that's what scares me...my car is carbed, nothing electronic about my setup...
what happens is the tach would suddenly jump around...while the car lurches... the gauges would also lose power as will the radio... it seems the car would suddenly lose electricity... it would sometimes totally die out... it would start once i fire it up..at times it would be hard and at other times it would start instantly... i checked all the visible wires and connections of the coil and points distributor, nothing seems amiss... help... what should i check? coil? voltage regulator? connections to the starter? what would do that? and how should i check each one? help...
