Open/Closed loop help

Just put in a fresh 355 in the car. Along came a new 02, CTS and other sensors... can't remember them all.

Trying to get PT tuned and having no luck. Car simply won't go into closed loop. It will for split seconds and that is it. It is running super rich, proof by plugs and the raw gas spilling out of the tail pipe, but the 02s (which are irrelivent in Open loop anyways never get about 350mv. I am starting to think that it won't go closed b/c the 02 has to see 600mv to make the car ready to go closed and have the 02 heated up...

I just don't know. I am at a total loss...

Also have a few other issues that carried over from the 305 that used by in the car which can be see in this thread:
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=255448

I think the issues in the other thread might be contributing to my issue. Oxygen sensor is new, the second one on this 200 mile motor...

It looks like you're not getting a full 5 volts to the TPS. I would check the input wire going to the sensor to find out. If that is the case I would trace the wire back and look for a break or check the pinout at the ECU and see if it is supplying a full 5 volts, maybe the ECU is bad?

I was thinkng about checking the ECM at some point. I might just take 89gta383s and put it in to see if it makes any difference in those readings... quick way to find out.

Yes it's a good way to check, but if you have a short in the harness somewhere, or a shorted sensor it is also a good way to fry another computer!
