Corvette valve covers

I got a set of those Corvette aluminum/magnesium valve covers and have a few concerns about using them. The main concern is with the oil deflectors that are cast into the underside of them and how they may contact my roller tipped rocker arms. The rocker arms are CompCams and not that much bigger than stock, from what I can tell. My cam is pushing .315" lift at the lobe, so the extra lift and large rocker arms may cause an issue. Should I grind off the deflectors?

The other concern is that they are going on top of a set of Dart Iron Eagle heads that have bosses for both perimeter and center bolt style valve covers. Dart says to grind down the bosses for the perimter bolts, but the heads have been on the motor for a while. I want to grind the valve covers to clear the bolt bosses instead, I know centerbolt valve covers aren't supposed to need any RTV but I'll use some where the guide is missing, just in case.

If I don't feel like going through all this work or I find a set of valve covers that have the correct PCV and oil fill holes, I guess I'll just sell them.
