fuel pump won't turn off

engine is hard to start cranks for 5-10 seconds when cold, it just started doing that yesterday. fuel pump wont turn off even after the key is removed from ignition fuel preasure is normal, going into the throttle body, and out of the return. the car runs fine after it starts. if anyone has any ideas please help.

now the fuel pump doesn't turn on untill i've cranked the engine for a while. it usually turns on right after i put the mey in the ignition

replace the fuel pump relay, it's taking a long time to operate because it is falling back on the fuel pump/oil pressure sending switch to operate the pump after oil pressure builds up to about 4 PSI.

I had the same problem on the '91. The mechanic did just what Trix mentioned. It was about then that he noticed the hole in the fule tank.

replaced the fuel pump relay, the old one was hissing. but to my suprise same problem no change. any other ideas, it's not the relay, oil pres. switch, fp fuse, what else could it be?
