I was told that this is water or coolant leaking into the engine? How do i go about stopping this? And the cheapest way? Is this harming the car also?? thanks

89,

The Roadhead is probably right, but some other possibilities are a bad intake gasket near the coolant crossovers, a cracked head, cracked sleeve, or cracked TPI throttle body (water heated). Some older cars had failures of TVS sensors that would allow coolant through the vacuum lines and into the intake and chambers.

Start investigating before you start replacing.
