Engine ID
Engine ID
We have a "85 camaro with a later model 350. It has a one piece rear oil seal. The engine ID number next to the oil filter is V0204UKA can any one tell me what year this engine is, and what it came out of?
Bill,
Check the casting numbers at the top rear ledge of the left side cylinder case (near and behind the distributor). There should be a seven- or eight-digit casting number, and a date code with the month and year of casting.
Check the casting numbers at www.mortec.com.
Whassup in Onalaska? Is the river high there? I know the "Sota side is a little higher in elevation, but areas of LaCrosse are pretty low.

I checked the mortec site, and printed out all the information, so we'll check the engine tomarrow. It can't be an '81 engine, 'cause it has a one piece rear oil seal.
Waters still High. I work on the BNSF railroad, and have only made 2 train rides since Apr. 15. The high water and wind is washing ou track from Perscott all the way to Savanna ILL. It will be all summer before the track is repaired.
