starting problems
Hey guys i posted on the electrical board and no one really could help= we just got a 83 SC with a 305 in it for 300$ he said it ran great but let it sit over the winter and wouldnt start in the spring- i got tripple A to tow it for free then i got it home and jumped it and it started. it started all day and hasnt since that was a week ago. i turn the key and somtimes the dash warning lights come on when i turn the ignition just to the on position and somtimes they dont- i swapped batterys and everything when i hook it to my jumper i put it on a 200 amp start and the guage goes from the start section and falls all the way to 0 in about 30 seconds- if i get the dash warning lights to come on if i hit the power windows or turn signals everything shuts down- but the headlights and horn works- i just got a new positive cable to the starter im gonna try it in the morning- if it doesnt work any other ideas? thanks
