What size torx bit for rear hatch struts?

Hey guys, I have two new rear hatch struts to put on and I need to know what size torx bit to get. I got a size 47 and it was too big, I'm tired of guessing, help me out!

If a 47T was too big, the next size down is a 45T.

My car also uses the t50 which is odd because as ede said, the next size smaller than a 47 is a 45. Your best bet is gonna be to trace out or mold the size and take it to your local tool dealer and match it up to the right size.
