Will this run in the 12's???

Hi,
I'm puttin together a 350 this summer and I was hoping to run in the 12's. you guys think this set up will do it?

-350 block bored .03 over
-Stock Crank
-Forged Rods (5.7)
-Hyper pistons (9.75:1 CR), maybe as hight as 11:1, not sure yet
-Sportsman II heads, 2.02/1.60, Ported
-Comp Cams Magnum 292H
-Edelbrock RPM intake
-Holley DP or Avenger......or Edelbrock (not sure which yet)
-True Dual exhaust

I was hopin for 420hp and running in the 12's.....you think it can do it?

If not I'll go with a decent shot of NOS......but does setting up your engine to run on the juice effect it's performance when the nitrous is turned off at all??

Any input is apperecated, thanks

I wouldn't spray it with the hyper pistons.

i'd say if you get it set up properly, you can run high twelves with it.

Racing head service used to make a 350 with sportmans and the Comp Magnum 280. It would be right at 395 hp. And those were the lame sportmans. I would go with a XE comp unless you already have the 292 (its pretty old design). But you should have close to 410-420 hp. 12s are definately possible with good traction and 3400lbs max. There are LT1s on the z28.com board that run 12.9s at 108 with just a cam change and long tube headers. They are not making 400 hp.
