Central control lock

There's no "central control" for the power door locks in these cars. There's nothing in that circuit but 2 switches, 2 relays, and 2 solenoids; the Lock switches are in parallel and send 12V to the Lock relay which then sends 12V to the solenoids, and the Unlock switches are in parallel, and both send 12V to the Unlock relay, which then sends 12V to the solenoids. The relays are on the left side of the car, near the hood release cable assembly.

Yes you would need to connect it in such a way that it operates the Lock and Unlock relays. DO NOT attempt to make the remote operate the solenoids directly; you will merely burn it up.
