firing order/distributor question
firing order/distributor question
I removed all the plugs off the distributor at the same time, without marking them. Now I know which ones are which but I don't know where to put each one on the distributor. I know the firing order, but which terminal is #1 and which direction does the firing order go, clockwise or counter??? Please Help!!!
I have a '90 Camaro RS with 305TBI engine code E. Some Help me please!!

If you cant remember where ANY wires were connected to the distributor then you will probably have to rotate the crank and re-do the wires. If you can remember where at least 2 wires went you could probably figure out where the rest go by following the firing order....which runs clockwise
I assume you did not remove the distributor from the engine. If you did without marking the rotor, then your only option is the first one I mentioned.

Well, if you're lucky, #1 will be the one that is on the frontest (lol, good word, eh?) DS of the cap. Usually thats where they end up factory. If the engine has been apart, it could be anywhere.
I'd try that spot first, cuz you can't realy hurt anything if you're putting the wires on retarded one position (it'll fire on the exhaust stroke, might make noise, won't hurt anything), and i really doubt #1 is coming off the front PS.
