HEI dist. question

Will a coil-in-cap HEI clear our fire wall? The tuned port motor I'm pulling out had a separate coil obviously, but I would like to use an HEI for the carb motor going back in.

Considering that that's what they all came with from 82 to 86, it's a pretty safe bet that it will.

It clears in mine by about 3-4".

It'll be fine. IIRC, they "took the coil outta the cap" to clear the TPI system, not the firewall.
