Car: 1989 IROC-Z
Engine: 383 stroker
Transmission: 700R4 3500 stall, TransGo shift kit
Axle/Gears: Moser 9", 4.11:1
Is something wrong with my transmission?
When I switch from park to drive, the car waits a little, then I can feel a jerk, and then its ready to go. Yesterday when I wekt from park to drive, I gave it gas when it was in drive and the engine revved, then it jerked, and took off. What is causing this? The same thing happens when putting it into reverse. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Same thing was happening to mine a few weeks back.....It would take a while to go into drive and jerk.....i heard the jerk was nothing to worry about....now about the reving,it was happening to me also and then one day i just had no reverse and the drive was taking it on and off.....i got tired of that sh** and just rebuilt the whole transmission and its running like new....My advice is to just ask around and maybe think about saving for a transmission rebuilt in the future...

could be several things. try changing the fluid and filter and see if that helps.
