Car: 85 camaro sport coupe

Engine: 2.8 MFI

Transmission: v6 700R4 wish it was a 5spd Stick

Axle/Gears: Stock non posi 3.42s

Rear spoiler

What performance affects will installing a rear spoiler have on my car? Will it handle better, will it use more gas, or is it just there for the looks? it is the stock spoiler off of a 92 RS. i got it from some kid for $20

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's

Its there for looks. IIRC, only one thirdgen spoiler actually produced noticable downforce at high speeds.

I dont remeber which it was but there was one spoiler that was quoted as making a 80 lbs or so of downforce at high speeds. Not worth really bothering.
