Gear drive ???????

Any one using gear drive, lika pete jackson unit, on there 305 or 350 motors. I have a 305 tpi and want to put gear drive on it.

I dont think the knock sensor would like a gear drive.....

I have one in my 86 Z28, but its carbed. I wouldnt put one in my 89 L98 car

dam it

i didn't even think about that. Is there away to get rid of it. How would the knock sensor read that?

Gear drives are notorious for setting off knock sensors. if you want something hi-tech, use a belt drive instead. The problem with belt drives are price and exposure to everyday road debris. Jesel now has a cover for their belt drive to solve this. Problem is, it is nearly $850.00 for the setup, hardly worth the extra 10HP.

gear drives are really nice but you dont want one on yours because of the problems stated above .....and a belt drive isnt worth the price for a street driven 305 .....go with a good double roller and be happy
