TPS not getting to 4.0V at WOT

88 TPI 5.0 MAF totally stock - I'm getting a code 33 and I'm trying to checl the IAC, TPS, etc. I have the TPS set at .54 closed. However, when I pull the throttle all the way open, the most I get is 3.51V. How do I get this above 4.0V? I.ve searched and searched (the boards). Nothing has worked regarding the code 33. I think I'm going to have to get into PROM burning, but I feel like this is just curing the symptom, not the cause.

digital multimeter. And no, I haven't tried to replace it yet. Didn't know I had a problem until now. I've been after this code 33 for a few months now (don't drive the car that much). I should be able to cure this being that the motor is stock. I don't think the MAF is bad. I have 2 and they both set the code. After the TPS, I'll try a new MAF and/or ECM.

try replacing the sensor first and see if that does anything for the readings. You could also try to borrow a MAF from someone if you know anybody w/ one to see if that helps, before you buy one.

The TPS adjusts front to back for the closed setting and "swings" up and down for the WOT setting. Fully loosen the bottom screw,,, and then loosen the top TPS screw enough that it'll allow you to swing the TPS back and forth. This should hold your closed setting to .54 volts, but allow adjustment of WOT.
